Emediong Akpabio is a human rights and gender activist who has worked on cross-cutting issues in the development space. His advocacy has covered areas of gender equality, human rights, peace and security, child protection, intersectional feminism and social justice. Emediong Akpabio has co-authored other articles and is a member of the African Union UNICEF Youth Group which supports a multilateral strategy towards protecting children from early child marriage in Africa. He's also a global young leader who has served in many leadership positions in Nigeria and Africa and is currently building a community of over 230 young changemakers and aspring diplomats from 16 countries for peer-peer learning, Idea sharing and collaboration.
