Your Voice Matters: A Handbook for Women’s Rights Advocacy
Your Voice Matters is a handbook for women’s rights advocacy. This handbook was created to guide and support new and aspiring feminist and women’s rights advocates in building their advocacy journey.
We acknowledge that dismantling social and cultural gender-based norms needs a lot of awareness, education, and active participation at every level of society. Strategic activism could be a potent tool for bringing fundamental changes if used and planned in an informed and organized fashion. Unfortunately, the young people in different corners of the world, especially those from marginalized and underserved backgrounds, lack access and direction to effective activism mechanisms.
As a gender equality advocacy platform, Rights of Equality’s mission is to educate, engage, and empower people about harmful socio-cultural and systemic issues that oppress women and girls. We strongly believe that society must wake up to realize that women’s rights are their moral, legal, economic, and social obligation. An equitable society cannot be attained if the fundamental rights of half of the human population continue to be denied and violated.
The handbook for women’s rights advocacy intends to support the new and aspiring activists in planning their journey in coming forward as gender equality advocates. Your Voice Matters is designed as a starting place for finding guidance, information, and resources for gender equality activism or advocacy with the core belief that we all have something to offer in the fight against injustice and inequality. We want you to believe that change can start with you.
